Race Across America

Called the world’s toughest endurance bicycle race, Race Across America (RAAM) spans 3000 miles starting in Oceanside, California and finishing in Annapolis, Maryland. Participants must finish within 12 days and meet checkpoint deadlines along the way or risk being disqualified. RAAM is open to solo racers as well as 2, 4, and 8 person teams. RAAM attracts participants from around the world and has become an American tradition. In 2014, RAAM celebrated its 33rd year.

John competed in RAAM 2014 and finished 13th with a time of 11 days, 21 hours, ad 17 minutes as a solo rider. Every RAAM rider needs the support of a great crew team. John’s nine-person crew team was made up of family and friends all with one goal—support John all the way to Annapolis.
